Having enjoyed several sunny and warmer days (some even with temperature higher than normal for the season) we get back into the extreme winter scene. The walks on the beach will certainly be difficult, but Troodos prepares for some fresh, generous portions of snow.

On Thursday showers and thunderstorms will begin to make their appearance, according to meteorologist Eric Kitas and Troodos will receive some snow fall again. Friday also expects a few rain locally and snow on Troodos region and the temperature will start dropping significantly.

The coldest day of this winter, according to the same source, is expected next Saturday, January 28th. The weather will be mostly cloudy and very cold with snow on the mountains, while Eric Kitas, forecasts some snowflakes even in coastal areas. With a temperature at 6-8 degrees below normal for the season, it is advisable to take some measures.
