With great pride and while taking the highest distinction, the Limassol Nautical Club was declared the Champion at the 42nd Pancyprian Swimming Championship for men and women. The Nautical Club managed to win the prize for the first time after 32 years at the Championship held in June, in Limassol.
The 30 plus, new Pancyprian records show the rise of the sport on the island, and that swimming is now one of the most popular sports in Cyprus. The best athletes of this year's event were Kalia Antoniou from the Limassol Nautical Club, with her performance at 100 m. of freestyle swimming, and Markos Kalospidiotis from the Famagusta Nautical Club, at 50 m. of breaststroke swimming.
The Limassol Nautical Club was at the top of the tournament with 504 points, with the Famagusta Nautical Club following with 384 points. After a lot of hard work and dedication to its vision, LNC managed to achieve its goal. Proud of the result, the President of the Club that the team will not rest on its laurels, but it continues with the same commitment and effort to achieve even higher goals.
