The first month of spring kept a few surprises, since it proved to be particularly effective in rainfall. After a fairly heavy winter, March came to complete the precious island’s water reserves.
A village in the Limassol district stood out by recording an impressive amount of rainfall. The amount of water from the rain of the month in Kellaki village managed to cover the normal rainfall amount by 155%, since from the 66.4 mm of water, which is estimated to be the normal amount for the season, it reached 102.8.
Limassol also had some impressive results on this March rainfall, recording the second highest record after Kellaki. The rainfall amount reached 115% of the normal amount of the season. Although the rain has created a short delay and setbacks for the spring weather, the result is certainly encouraging for the coming summer.
