Among the best festivals in Europe for 2017 are 4 of Limassol’s festivals. The EFFE program (Europe for Festivals Festival for Europe) picked out these 4 festivals, among the festivals of the entire island, for their artistic commitment, their active involvement with the community and their European and international profile.

Hundreds of festivals from 39 countries have applied for this distinction. The nominations have been examined by specialists, members of the pertinent committee in each country, and they were presented to the International Qualification Committee, which would award the festivals with the EFFE distinction.

In Europe there are 715 festivals with this distinction in total. The festivals are presented in the EFFE Festival Guide, which allows the people to view and, probably, choose to attend the events.
