Will Melco-Hard Rock Cyprus operate a temporary casino in Monte Caputo;

Melco-Hard Rock Cyprus is about to create a temporary base in Limassol by using the building of the entertainment room Monte Caputo. The company that submitted the only proposal for the operation of a casino, held an extended presentation of the project in Nicosia Conference Centre. Apart from the plans for the property close to My Mall in Limassol, the company seems to be working on regional projects that will operate up to two years earlier than the proposed casino-resort.

A temporary casino will operate within almost a year from now, in October 2017, after Monte Caputo receives the planned renovation. Simultaneously, the development of four casino-satellites will be launched in four different regions of free Cyprus.

These smaller casinos are expected to operate in July 2017, offering services to their customers only through gaming machines services, as proposed by the Parliament legislation. The Nicosia casino satellite, being the largest out of the four, is an exception as it will be hosting 5 gaming tables along with 50 gaming machines.

The accreditation of Melco-Hard Rock Cyprus proposal will be concluded within the first days of November. The company seems to be determined to sprint its way to 2019 in order to have the construction finished by the end of that year, aiming to operate the first casino-resort in Europe by 2020.
