Where to go and what to do in Limassol: How to be able to choose this first weekend of May!

The calendar says it is spring time, but in Limassol summer is already here. This is not so much because of the temperature, but mostly because everything and everyone in the city and the province push you to get out of the house and enjoy the weather.

This Saturday the city comes to life for good, with the largest exhibition about the sea taking place from Friday through Sunday at the Limassol Marina. Luxurious yachts, impressive speedboats, jet ski and water sport demonstrations and a large variety of items related with living on the sea, from hooks to full diving equipment, will be for 3 days at the people’s disposal. On Saturday, just a few meters away, Saripolou Square and the city center hot the 10th Street Life Festival, which spreads some vividness, color, music and creativity in Limassol’s historical center.

The city sure won’t disappoint those who have known and loved the city for its music entertainment and parties. A group of talented artists pay a tribute to Lady Gaga at the Oro Club, while a nostalgia party with 80s and 90s favorite beats from the decades past comes along. Greek entertainment has the mark of Pegy Zena and Zafiris Melas, while Magic de Spell, from the other side of the Greek music scene, remind the rockers of the songs they grew up with. Lania, Episkopi and Omodos are the honorary villages of the weekend with festivals, sports and cultural events for those escaping the city.
