VIDEO: Limassol Marathon changes, gets bigger and surprises us!

Entering a 2nd decade and having hit a record number of 13000 participants in 2016, Limassol Marathon consists a top sports event in Cyprus and one of the most important marathon events in Europe.

With the improvement of the institution and especially that of the competitive section of the event on mind, as Spyros Spyrou, managing director explained, Limassol Marathon will extend its activities through the weekend. The competitive part of the event will still take place on Sunday, March 19th, as scheduled in the first place. The previous day, on Saturday, March 18th, those more fun activities will take place.

In particular, on Saturday, March 18th,  the PrimeTel Corporate Race 5km and the Kids Race 1km.
The  PrimeTel Corporate Race, will follow a new route, while the participants will be divided into 2 categories (1 for running and 1 for walking). The start for the Corporate Race will be at 9:00 am and for the Children's Race 1km at 11.00 am. Additionally, the PrimeTel Corporate Race 5 km participants will have the opportunity to run and the City Race 5km on Sunday 19th, by paying only a nominal amount of €10 which in total will go to charity.

On Sunday, March 19th, the Marathon, Half Marathon and Petrolina Energy Race City Race 10km and 5km will take place.
The start for the marathon, and the rest of the runs, will be at 7:00 am. Bonuses will be given to athletes who will break the course record.

Those marathon fanatics are looking forward for this new event, while the organizers expect an even greater turn out for the 2-day event, from both locals and foreigners who wish to combine their visit with a trip in the enchanting Limassol on springtime.

For subscriptions within December a 20% discount applies for all races.
