VIDEO: An utterly impressive aerial video of the Limassol port and its cruise ships!

Cruise ships have been coming and going at the Limassol Port quite frequently these days, since summer is getting closer. Some of the largest vessels have visited the port and the traffic is about to increase, with several more scheduled routes.

Within 3 months (February – April 2017), the port has hosted 28,000 passengers in total, either arriving, sailing, or using it as a transit. The transit calls at the port, by cruise ships that included Limassol in their journey, reached 58 and the home port calls, by vessels based in Limassol, reached 39.

Some of the most impressive and largest cruise ships in the world are using the city’s port these days, among which the majestic Queen Mary 2, Seven seas Voyager, Insignia and Viking Sky, which included Limassol in its first journey. DP World Limassol, the company that manages the passengers’ traffic at the port, appears to be proud of this picture, while looking forward to further growth, since the new passenger terminal is on schedule to commence operations during this summer.
