The newest cruise ship in the world arrived at the Limassol port for the first time!

Limassol welcomed the maiden call of the newest cruise ship in the world, Viking Sky. The vessel arrived in Limassol from Haifa on March 20th 2017 and continued its cruise in the Mediterranean, sailing for Rhodes with 484 crew members and 807 passengers. 

The ship sailed for the first time just around 1 month ago. The Captain, Ralph Robert Bamberg, stretched that Limassol is an ideal destination for the company’s customers to experience the many delights and attractions that Cyprus has to offer. The Limassol port is now among the stops of the company’s ships and the Captain mentioned that everyone is looking forward to returning later in the year.

The vessel was welcomed by DP World in the Limassol port facilities. DP World General Manager, Charles Meaby, stretched that the company aims to create the future of Cypriot trade and tourism. “We have now passed an important milestone on the way to making the terminal a sustainable and highly valued asset for the Cypriot economy”, he said.
