The flame of the Easter celebrations arrives from Jerusalem to Limassol through the sea!

The flame that lights up the candles in the churhes all over Cyprus during the Easter ceremonial services, will be following a new route in 2018. Carried on a boat, it will arrive to the Limassol Old Port, from where it will be transported on the evening of Holy Saturday by representatives of the Limassol Church, the community councils and other groups to the temples.

The light will be trasported by the police boat "Eleftheria" and it is expected to arrive at the Old Port at 21:00, just a few hours before Easter. Reaction Cyprus, in collaboration with motorcycling and drivers' associations and groups from all over Cyprus, will trasport the flame to the Limassol, Larnaca, Fmagusta and Nicosia countryside.

The arrival of the flame in Limassol, is conducted through a collaboration of Reaction Cyprus, with the Church of Limassol, the Limassol Municipality, the Ports Police and the Ports Authority. The event is open for people to attend.
