PHOTOS + VIDEO: When Limassol went crazy about the Survivor style celebrations of Kataklysmos!

Hundreds of people were found early on Monday morning at the Stelios Chari field, where Ypsonas Municipality had already set up an impressive survivor sports arena.

This first celebration for Kataklysmos, managed to go down in history by impressing everyone, participants and viewers. With an inspiration from the popular reality TV show, an 80 meter long track was set up with balancing sports, water tanks, crawling nets, climbing walls, water transferring vessels and targets to be hit by dump sponges.

Children’s teams, 8 – 12 and 13 – 17 years old, will have to go through similar tests, on an easier level and a shorter distance, while children and families had some fun with many more games and activities in the area. The teams participating were 76 in total, in which 380 athletes raced the arena, making history out of this first event.
