PHOTOS: This is how the Western Limassol will look like in 2 years!

Quite important changes are in line at the western neighborhoods of Limassol with the plans promoted by the Limassol Municipality, which are co-funded by the European funds. The plans concern the streets and monuments in the area west to the historical center.

Improvements of around €3 million are in line for the Mishaouli & Kavazoglou Street, as well as the Yildiz street. The redesign aims to enhance the sustainable mobility and it include the construction of bicycle lane, wide sidewalks, reconstruction of the road’s surfaces, green areas, lighting and improved sewers. The same kind of improvements are planned for Pallados, Demokratias and Aleksandreias streets, with the extension of Garyllis linear park, after a €3,5 fund.

A special addition in the area seems to be the construction of a green route / walkway, which is going to connect the historical center with the western neighborhoods. The route will begin in the east at Ayia Napa church and it will finish at the northwest, by the Anagennisi park roundabout (check out more here). The construction is expected to finish within 1 year.
