The result of the Annual World Travel Awards ceremony was especially honorable for Limassol in 2017. Limassol’s hospitality establishments were strongly represented in the internationally renowned travel institution, which names the leading hotels, resorts and services around the world, in territories.

Columbia Beach Resort in Pissouri village was nominated for more than one titles this year, as it was competing with top resorts all over Europe. The award ceremony named the hotel as the winning nomination in the categories of Europe's Leading Luxury All Suite Resort 2017 and Mediterranean's Leading Resort 2017.

On a Cyprus wide level, 3 of Limassol’s hotels were found among the best on the island. In fact, after the European and Mediterranean qualification, Columbia Beach Resort was named Leading Resort in Cyprus for 2017, Londa Beach hotel was named Leading Boutique hotel, while Amathus Beach hotel was named the Leading Hotel in Cyrpus.
