Limassol: The place to spend New Year's Eve with snow and New Year's at the beach

It is a matter of minutes: those who wish may spend their days or the hours of a single day between the mountains and the beach. This New Year was the most palpable proof, making it possible for many Limassolians, Cypriots and tourists from abroad to enjoy the weekend with a unique combination of the sun and the sea on 1 hand and the foggy, freezing and snowy landscape on the other.

On the morning of New Year's Eve Limassol was found glowing under a shower of bright light, with people enjoying the beautiful colors of the sunrise at the beach front with walking, exercising and fishing. Many were those who decided to welcome the year in the mountains and prepared their luggage and... ski equipment early in the day to drive up the mountain.

The ski slopes, the Troodos square and mountain accommodations and villages hosted hundreds of people who wanted to spend New Year’s Eve and the first moments of the New Year within a white backdrop. The New Year's Eve night hosted with the same fervor thousands more locals and visitors who chose the city for its numerous options it offers for nightlife entertainment.

So, for some 2017 dawned in white, and for others with a sea view. In fact, the Limassol beach was waiting the winter swimmers and sea lovers on the morning of January 1st to welcome the new year by the shimmering blues. In all cases, those who chose the city and Limassol district to spend the eve and the first day of the new year were able to enjoy themselves to the fullest with all the diverse experiences the magical place has to offer.
