The festive timetable for the shops will begin to apply right after November ends. Streets and shops windows have already provided for a festive atmosphere aiming to invite the consumers to begin their holiday excursions for gifts and decorations.
General stores can be open from 1st to December 31st and from Monday to Sunday. The stores will be closed on Christmas Day, on New Year' s, as well as on December 26th, January 2nd and January 6th, as stated by the Cyprus Retail Trade Association.
According to the relevant legislation, General Stores can remain open from December 1st until December 31st, from Monday to Sunday until 20:00. It was made clear, however, that on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve the General Stores have to be closed by 18:00.
