Do you know what the 17 sculptures at the seaside park symbolize?

The Infopoint information system is being installed early in April by the Municipality at the Limassol Sculpture Park, in cooperation with the Cypriot company Blupath Ltd. The information system will combine signs with descriptions in Greek and English, as well as a digital tour using barcodes.

The system consists of 10 plates, arranged along the Sculpture Park, with texts by Dr. Nadia Anaxagorou, Head of the Cultural Department of the Limassol Municipality, along with visual material by the photographer Vasos Stylianou. By using an innovative program of "intelligent communication", visitors enjoy the unique experience of an interactive tour in one of the major cultural infrastructure projects in the city.

So, the people is granted with substantial access to the content of the Sculpture Park, which was created after 3 Symposia of Sculpture, in 1999, 2000 and 2001, with artists from the international scene, Greece and Cyprus, offering 17 sculptures made of local stone, metal, stainless steel, reinforced concrete, neon-light and marble.

The Infopoint is designed, implemented and installed by Blupath company, as an offering to the Limassol Municipality, with the support of Cyta, which is the main technology provider. The information points combine a range of integrated connectivity technologies (RFID, e-bar codes, dynamic URL and Bluetooth Eddystone) for taking information material directly to mobile visitors. The project is also supported by the companies Askanis Group, Medochemie and Remedica.
