A community in Limassol enjoys a natural ice rink and a Christmas village with actual snow!

We‘ve seen plenty of Christmas villages this year. We were even fortunate enough as to have an ice rink at the Old Port. But for the past hours οn the mountains the Christmas dream has become a reality and offers uncountable opportunities for games and fun.

At the ice cold Kiperounta, those wooden houses at the village’s square are actually drizzled with amazing, fluffy snow, the one that we usually try to imitate by using paint or cotton. The Christmas trees are actually decorated with snowflakes and the sleighs used as part of the decoration in the square turned out to be very practical and useful.

Children and young people at the village went out on the street, in spite of the freezing cold, and they had a blast sliding with their multi-colored, Christmas sleighs on the downhill road. The pictures may resemble to an American movie or even a cart postal from some northern country, but they are actually and totally Cypriot, situated just 43 km away from Limassol.
