These restless young men were found in the company of the Limassol Mermaid. Not because they are looking for Alexander the Great (as the legend has it), nor because of her mesmerizing… “singing”. And they sure were not in danger, even if the height is great, even if there are stories about dangerous wandering related to the power of the Mermaid.
The 3 young men are part of another grand, sports event in the city, which chooses the location of the Old Port square. Aphrodite Games, after a spectacular 3-day event in 2016, returns this year for even more moments of adrenaline, tension, excitement and sweat.
The 3 cinematographers, after acquiring permission to be able to shoot the promotional video material about the Aphrodite Games event from the roof, enjoyed a unique view. The Mermaid “overlooks” the entire area of the Old Port up from the Porto Bello roof top, in which registrations are taking place, for the cross fit events at the 22nd – 24th of September. Thus, the impressive artwork by Philippos Yiapanis, finds its place in the promotional content the Aphrodite Games team is preparing.
