Three gods arrive in Sichuan city, looking for a good man. The only person that welcomes them is a young hooker, called Sen Te, who is rewarded with an amount of money for her hospitality. She uses the money to open a small tobacco shop, but her generosity and kindness, in combination to the greediness and immorality of her fellow citizens, lead her bankruptcy. So, Sen Te has to come up with an alter ego, a ruthless businessman, Sui Ta, to make her shop work.
