A CITY FULL OF FEELINGS A CITY FULL OF FEELINGS

PHOTOS + VIDEO: The longest mural in Cyprus, is found on a wall in Limassol!

* NOTE: All the tributes of All About Limassol (as the Official Guide of Limassol) aim to ONLY highlight the special aspects of this wonderful city, so that everyone can be aware of the exceptional options they offer. Under no circumstances do they have any promotional or nominal value, and they do not serve the interests of Companies, Municipalities, Organizations or Individuals.

This is a 300+ meter mural, which surrounds one of the largest, open-air stadiums in Limassol. Featuring colors and a design befitting the atmosphere of the area that is reminiscent of the movement, the vitality and the spirit of the athletes, this mural has been complementing the overall image of the Lanitio stadium for the past few weeks.

This is a project by EDMON 1419 and Rate, a team known for their work at the annual Street Life Festival. Beyond their other street art pieces that people have been admiring in the city for the past 10+ years, the team’s latest project aims to upgrade the aesthetic of the remodeled Lanitio Stadium. According to the artists, the design was the result of a brainstorming session with the Schools’ Bureau of Limassol, who had requested a project that would suit this area.

The mural covers the entire northern and eastern side of the stadium and features abstract, dynamic designs, in grey and green shades, as well as the Olympic circles which symbolize the spirit of a fair game. The artists worked on this project for 4 days and the video below presents the process of their work.
