A new success was recorded in Limassol by brothers Demos and Renos Christodoulides exchanging headers without dropping the ball for almost 14 minutes. After a record for 1,013 consecutive heads on October 3, 2014, they returned in Nikos Solomonides stadium to overcome their own achievement.
As part of the events for Lemesia 2016 they broke the record for longest time exchanging headers between 2 people by 13 minutes and 54 seconds and won a place in the Guinness book for the 2nd time.
"We knew we would break the record since our training," the 2 athletes from Limassol said afterwards. They even expressed the belief that they could have done better and set the bar even higher for next time.
The 2 brothers, honorary members of the Club of Veteran Footballers of AEL are undoubtedly fine examples of proud Limassol citizens but also true lovers of sports.
