The play takes place in the kitchen of the Count's rich house, during the celebrations of the Midsummer Day in Sweden. Julie 'invades' the reltionship of the 2 servants of the house, Jean and Christine, who are engaged, and flirts with Jean. The love triangle evolves into a destructive game.
